Sankirtana Yajna means congregational chanting of the holy names of the Supreme Lord.┬аThis is the path prescribed in the Vedic literatures for achieving spiritual perfection in the human form of life, namely self-realization and ending all the sufferings that we undergo in this world.
The Kalisantarana Upanishad states тАЬHare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare┬атАФ these sixteen names composed of thirty-two syllables are the only means to counteract the evil effects of Kali-yuga. In all Vedas it is observed that to cross the ocean of nescience there is no alternative to the chanting of the holy name.тАЭ
