Guys, a new comet called A11bP7I have been discovered few days ago (September 27, 2024). But, we are still waiting for the official confirmation. The distance is 1 AU from the Sun and 1.4 AU from earth (AU: Distance to Sun to Earth). Currently, A11bP7I has a magnitude around 12, Visible through small telescopes. The comet is located in the constellation of Hydra, easier to view from the Southern Hemisphere before dawn. For Northern Hemisphere, It sits lower on the horizon. In the Southern Hemisphere, the best time to catch the comet in the days before perihelion on October 28. In the Northern Hemisphere, The comet may be visible for a few days before perihelion on October 28. Fun facts: You can see the comet in the naked eye. Some calculations suggest that the orbit of A11bP7I may pass so close to the Sun that It may hit it and disintegrate. Even if it does, the comet could still produce a brilliant display around perihelion, but lets hope its orbit will be above the Sun's photosphere so it survives longer. Surprisingly, Theres another comet thats visible called Tsuchinshan ATLAS, and Olbers. Hope you see them! (Source: Star Walk 2)
