Big changes coming to the Youtube channel starting in October. Little background on why this change is coming real quick. I've been building this channel for the last 10 years or so trying to see how far I could take it with Paintball. I never thought it would be doing as well as it is in such a niche sport and an even bigger niche on Youtube. That being said though, since trying to do Paintball media full time in February, the channel doesnt make nearly enough to justify the amount of time put in anymore.
So if I'm going to continue trying to make this my main gig, some changes need to be made. Starting in October all raw footage matches going forward (2-4 a month) will be available to D4 +D1 Xball members only. Main reason for this is a lot of my raw footage videos maybe make $15 off the ad revenue. Putting 6 hours into a video to make $2.50/hr is not feasible anymore. With that said though, I will be doing a vote on here and on Instagram for people to pick which match they want released to the public from the previous month. So if there's a really good match/video that people want to see you will be able to see it pending it gets enough votes. D6 members will still get early access to any videos coming out publicly here on the channel.
I haven't decided yet if the Torched or any other edited series will also be members only or not. That's probably something I'll decide when the next ones finished.
I know this isn't ideal for most people but I've been putting countless hours into these videos over the years and the channel feels like it's hit it's ceiling here on Youtube.
I hope everyone understands where I'm coming from with this change and I hope you continue to stick around. Whether you're just here as a viewer, a sub or a member of the channel, I greatly appreciate all of you.
