How to understand your "audience retention" graph on YouTube? ππ
This graph will look different on different channels (and for different formats) but there are some common things I often see when looking at this:
The start and the end.
They often look the same ( π a big drop in viewers).
You can tell a lot about a person's knowledge about YouTube, hooks, and storytelling just by looking at this graph.

I'm doing some changes to my tutorials (and I wanted to "keep you in the loop" by informing you):
βοΈ I'm changing from "typewriter"-animation to "swipe"-animation in my "Instructions"-window in my tutorials
βοΈ I'm removing the "end screen" (might replace it with something else)
βοΈ I'm adding a little "sneak peek" of the end result in the beginning, before the tutorial starts
I do these changes partly to improve the viewing experience by showing "more value per second" but also to make my editing process more efficient. My goal is that these improvements will increase audience retention and free up time to make more videos.
I optimize all these details so that I can continue to serve you and grow this channel: The more you watch and engage, the more likely it is that I can continue building on this channel.
