Having a slow day todayβ¦You know that feeling when you're trying to quickly move past a painful friendship breakup? Trying your hardest to not let it rob you of anymore joy and cause anymore heartaches than itβs already has! That's where I found myself. But then PapaGod told me somethingβ¦
I realized that while forgiveness is a powerful, immediate choice we can make through Christ - a decisive moment rather than an emotional journey - it's just the first step. Forgiveness isn't about waiting until we feel ready or processing our emotions first. Instead, it's a choice we can make in an instant through the power of the cross. But here's the important part - while forgiveness can happen quickly, it's only the beginning. After forgiveness, there's still important work to be done: processing our feelings, honoring our experiences, and allowing ourselves to properly heal. Without this deeper work, we risk carrying unresolved pain into our other relationships, leading to distrust and doubt. True healing requires both - the immediate choice of forgiveness and the patient journey of restoration that follows.
True healing requires us to honor ourselves enough to properly grieve what was lost. It's not about sweeping betrayal under the rug or making excuses for how others treated us - it's about acknowledging our genuine feelings and giving ourselves permission to process them.
The beautiful revelation? God values and honors us even when others don't. He sees the investment we put into relationships and validates our need to both celebrate the good parts and grieve what was lost. This process isn't just about closure - it's about learning to value ourselves the way God does.
You know what I often tell my clients? When we see people treating us poorly, it's often because we've unknowingly shown them it's okay to do so. But here's the empowering truth - we have the power to change this! When we learn to see ourselves through God's eyes and honor ourselves accordingly, we naturally begin teaching others how to treat us with the same respect.

With the new year, came a lot of disappointments as I realized that there are some relationships that just won't be able to make it to the next season with me. Thankfully, I was able to use the materials I had developed for The Impossible Girl Academy, which helped me process and release these relationships in a healthy way.
Today, PapaGod reminded me that we each have our own unique journey with Him.
I found myself frustrated when someone questioned my faith during those difficult season, instead of being encouraging and supportive through the Word and prayers. But then Holy Spirit gently nudged me to choose forgiveness instead of holding onto that hurt.
Here's what I learned: There's no room for comparison in the Kingdom. Each of our relationships with Him is beautifully different, like fingerprints - unique and purposeful. Instead of judging each other's walk with Jesus what if we chose to encourage and pray for one another?
Maybe you've been on either side of this - the one judged or the one judging. Today, I'm choosing to release both through forgiveness and prayer.
