Pioneers in the age of social distancing, PDX Couch Tour provides a safe space for Portland artists to perform and a platform for musicians to connect with and provide a little joy to an isolated community of music-loving fans. When music venues shut down and performances were postponed or canceled, we've created a way for musicians to continue playing, keeping the spirit of live music in Portland alive.
Live music will not die, but it certainly must change, for how long is still uncertain. Until things return to something close to the way they were, we hope to provide a little bit of the old familiar feeling of experiencing live music. We’ve set a high bar, our streams include concert lighting, studio sound, and multiple camera angles. We also include custom graphics and visual effects and audience interaction via text & video chat. The at-home audience can now use technology to simulate the live music experience.
