This picture is a reaction to a video that we released not long ago about Rudi Lopez (El Tiguere Mambo) of Bachata Popiwa going on about @farifeobachata @frank_bachata and @swagguerdancecompany.01 . The video is pinned on this page. We did not call El Tiguere a racist but most people concluded from the video that El Tiguere is racist / anti-Hatian /anti-black / anti-afro / anti-Africa (everything). Some people called him a colonizer (anti-afro agenda), etc. It's going on TWO WEEKS now, and El Tiguere has not issued a public apology to his public attack on these 3 wonderful dancers of Haitian descendants, but born and raised in the Dominican Republic.

Ever since the video release, El Tiguere and the team have gone on an aggressive social media campaign to prove his anti-blackness innocence. This picture is the most recent effort in that PR campaign. The πŸ‘€ pandering to the πŸ‡©πŸ‡΄ Bachata community, the πŸ‡πŸ‡Ή Haitian community and the 🌍 African Diaspora community at large seems to be getting out of hand, so we felt compelled to make this post and hopefully put an end to this racial pandering nonsense, in love. This is not an attack on anyone:

1. Beautiful lovey-dovey picture, by the way, minus the racial pandering πŸ›‘πŸš«.
2. Being married to a black woman does not make you non-racist.
2. Not married to a black woman does not make you racist or self-hating.
3. Wearing a shirt with a black woman rocking afro-hair does not make you non-racist and vice versa.
4. Getting people to tell us that you are not racist does not mean you are not racist and vice versa.
5. Trying to prove that you are not racist does not make anyone believe that you are not racist. The more you try to prove that you are not racist, the more you look racist.
6. Wearing big hair, afro hair, etc., as a black person does not always mean that you stand with your people. But sometimes it does.
7. Bianca seems to be a lovely lady and it's unfortunate that she's caught up in this now, as a black woman of Trinidad πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ή and Hatian πŸ‡πŸ‡Ή descendants, born and raised in the USA and also a much lighter shade from the three dark-skinned brothers, who were born and raised in the Dominican Republic πŸ‡©πŸ‡΄.
8. Rudi was born and raised in the USA. One of his parents was born in the Dominican Republic. So, from the look of things, the three dancers he attacked are more Dominican than he is.

I could go on and on, but the main point of this post is really to get El Tiguere and the campaign team to see that they are doing too much racial pandering and it's not a good look. In fact, it makes matters worse for them. The more you try to prove that you are not something (outside of criminal case), the more you seem to prove that you are. The fastest way for you to practice what you are trying to preach ("All Love..."), is to:

1. Issue a public apology to the three gentlemen because you insulted them publicly.
2. Stop spreading misinformation about Bachata. Hire other more qualified bachata educators to educate people about bachata.
3. Do a live with different affected dance communities, have a dialogue, and listen to the Bachata community and why we don't believe that All Bachata is bachata.
4. Preach true dance love by reflecting on where you messed up and making genuine steps to correct your mistakes, hurt, and damage that you have caused to the Bachata community.

Nothing against you and Bianca personally, I wish you guys nothing but a successful marriage πŸ™πŸΏβ€οΈ. Love is a beautiful thing.

Bachata is from the beautiful Caribbean island, called the Dominican Republic πŸ‡©πŸ‡΄. USA Bachata is dedicated to supporting the movement to bring authentic / traditional / Dominican Bachata BACK to its rightful place, THE MAINSTREAM, in the USA and worldwide. The first bachata ever danced in the USA and worldwide was authentic bachata from the Dominican Republic. That bachata has been danced for a very long time since the inception of bachata music from the Dominican Republic, and it's still being danced. No matter how many decades go by, authentic bachata has always remained true to the culture and root of the Dominican Republic.

Bachata is full of Dominican culture, which is both afro and latin. Bachata dance is very afro in nature, with a latin flavor as well. Any dance that has no elements of afro dance moves and latin flavor is not bachata. Sensual is from Spain and doesn't have the afro and latin flavor elements that make up Bachata. Moderna comes a little bit closest to bachata, depending on the individual dancer, and can be closer if they incorporated Afro and Latin flavors in the dance movements.

Nonetheless, Moderna and Sensual are NOT bachata. They do not pay homage to the Dominican Republic. It is evident in how organizers have complete disregard for Dominican Republic, with no Dominican flag, presence, culture etc., at their events and most of their dancers believe that Bachata is NOT from Dominican Republic but Spain / elsewhere... It is also evident in how some / most of their DJs don't know any bachata songs or artists from the Dominican Republic. I think this is the biggest disrespect to a country, its culture, and people. Let's respect the beautiful Dominican Republic, its culture, and people by supporting the movement to bring the real Bachata BACK INTO THE MAINSTREAM, worldwide! πŸ‡©πŸ‡΄πŸ€πŸ’ͺπŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί
