May I ask for your help? Especially in the LA area, my computer and hard drives were stolen last night (along with my friend’s) in the Arts District.
In the 0.1% chance that any of you may see a 16” MacBook Pro for sale on any used item site, service, posting, etc. — could you please let me know if you see one that has a cloth thing attached to it (very hard to remove)? I also have my name labeled on there, which may leave behind some residue if you try to remove. Yes, tough luck, but I thought it is at least worth a shot to share this. The photo was just taken prior to this happening - and shows the back of my laptop clearly.
Our car was smashed in and everything was robbed. We are usually more careful about this, but it only takes one moment of letting one’s guard down.
Stay safe, and back up your files. I will embarrassingly admit that I had too many non-backed up files in my drives.
