A review on my other channel about the new movie Sound of Freedom. There is a lot of controversy surrounding this film, but I believe my thoughts may clear the air on what is real and what is fluff. Check it out watch video on watch page

Rant:
I did a YouTube video on Black Panther when it first came out. Not sure if it was received too well. The things I wanted to point out in the video was that I noticed that when it came to the white Marvel movies, the enemy was a clear foreigner who needed to be subdued. However, when it came to Black Panther, the fight was a tribal war between a bunch of black people, while the rich white man was underground taking care of the real problem. I also pointed out that this was NOT the first black superhero film (As we had MeteorMan, and my personal favorite Blankman...but in case those don't count because they are comedic, we had Spawn and A MARVEL HERO BLADE...which had three movies. Blankman was my favorite not because it was drop dead funny, but because it showed an ordinary guy with no powers; in fact, he was a nerd who you would least expect to fight crime, but he said himself that he was not special. He's just an ordinary guy who looks out his window, sees something wrong, and decides to do something about it. In essence, Blankman was a representation of the hero in all of us. It is when good men decide to do something about the evil instead of watching evil prosper. I think it was Churchill or somebody who said "Evil prospers when good men do nothing."). My point was that, while everyone was emotionally hyped about Black Panther, I was viewing it as a Marvel fan and a more non-biased one at that. I don't go to movies because I want to see a black face or a white face. I don't go to see a male or a female lead. I go to see a good movie, and Black Panther was an OKAY MOVIE, but not a great one. I had people raising their hands in worship because "a black cast is in a hero movie" as if black people have won an award of some kind instead of what was really happening: Disney was profiting off the emotions of people. They even switched the release date to Black History Month so that schools would make a field trip out of it (My school stopped education to take an entire grade of kids to see this movie during school hours as an example...you know...to teach black history...by going to Wakanda).
For the sequel, I am seeing that things have not gotten better. I have not seen the movie, as I am in a different phase of my life (See what I did there...phase?). However, based on what I have seen from peers on FB and reviews online, this latest installment in the M-SHE-U: Phase Bore hasn't delivered. Avengers is 2 1/2 to 3 hours long. This movie is as long as an Avengers movie, but does not have the all star cast. I hear the honoring of Chadwick Boseman in the movie was amazing, so kudos, but the rest of the movie was not exciting (My dad says he fell asleep). Then, for 12 minutes, we get a female Black Panther beating up a bunch of guys.
I have been told by many, including some black Christians, that I somehow hate my own race. Why? Because I call out bullcrap when I see it, and I hold black people accountable. I don't like being lied to, whether it is by white people OR black people. I desire nothing more than to see people of color rise to honor. It pains me to witness over and over again black men being promoted as thugs and black women being promoted as sluts. Black people are known for being rude, indignant, impulsive, and are so insecure that they will even turn on each other in order to get one foot a little higher than yesterday. You see a black man so much as speak correct English and he is labeled as a white man. No movies about a black man being a successful lawyer or doctor or mathematician or Pastor any of these "white jobs," no. We like movies like Friday, Shottas, Boyz in the Hood, Juice, Menace to Society, and other gangsta movies. What do all these things have in common? A black man who is trying to prove himself a man instead of just being one. Society constantly pushes black males into effeminacy. The traits of being a good husband, a good father, a leader in society, and NOT having hatred in his heart for others as a form of motivation? These things aren't viewed as positive. Most of the black celebrities actually either don't know their own father, or hate him!
This sequel does that. There are ZERO strong black men in this film. In the previous film, I admired Chadwick Boseman, but most of the crowd sympathized with Kilmonger, the guy who murdered hundreds of his own people in order to usurp authority so he could murder white people. So killing black people is a GOOD thing on your way to killing white people? No, I don't see strong black men being portrayed there. Digression...in THIS film, I am disheartened to see that not one strong black male role model was put forward just so that the idea of a strong black woman would be overemphasized.
Now, I am not against a strong black woman. However, if you must sacrifice MEN in order to do it? I am NOT for that message. It does not empower my wife by putting me to the side and watching her do my job. I'll say this to any man. If you think that it is empowering to sit in the bedroom and send your wife out to check and see what the noise was in your house...you aren't empowering...you are a coward. BE A MAN. It's not TOXIC to love and protect your wife and family. It's not sexist to provide for and cover your wife. It's not evil and demeaning to women to be a gentlemen: open the door for her, flirt with her, acknowledge her as God's most beautiful creation, all while also understanding that you are the physically stronger vessel, and you were made to be the protector of her and to cherish her and to receive honor from her. That word "honor" seems to have been lost. I'm sorry if this offends you, but I am not supportive of any message that perpetuates that in order for my black women to be strong, it means they have to dominate over subservient and WEAK black men.
Yes, I Pastor a church, and yes, I am fully for Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ would agree with me that what the government is doing to the black people of America is evil. Black men have to stop giving in to this notion that being a beta male is somehow a strength, and black women shouldn't allow this foolishness to continue, thinking that if you are providing for men and dominating over them that this somehow gives you identity and makes you strong. Yes, I am aware that some will call me an Uncle Tom for this and it doesn't bother me. I pray that at least ONE of my people will wake up to this stuff and say "No more."

On people who have ācommitted adulteryā
Itās very dangerous to use the Internet as a source to make judgments that we make. Truth is, we doā¦notā¦know what has transpired in someone elseās marriage. We know what weāve seen on social media or heard from others. Our sources today are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, YouTube COMMENTS, or articles online. Even CNN has been outed so many times as fraudulently spreading information.
Youāve never met some of the people you judge as being reprobate. Chances are, you wonāt meet many of them, and if we could, many of us wouldnāt even speak to the people we judge, as we have already judged them reprobate based on our Holy Internet sources, or our Holy gossip stones.
Letās say a person DID screw up his/her marriage. It was all his/her fault. We donāt know this, we HEARD this (As I doubt you caught them in the act), but letās say itās all true! š. He left one wife and got with another even! Letās say he truly repents before God, but he is already divorced. Based on zero contextual scripture can any of us say he should divorce his new wife and God will not accept him as a preacher or minister. None. By that standard, Saul, who was guilty of other sins in the 10 Commandments, would be persecuted by the church because he hasnāt repented of his sins THE WAY we say he should.
How do we know he cannot be a minister? Our Holy Internet says he cannot be, and many hold forgiveness until our standards are met. Many Christians are so like the world in this regard.
Remember David: the man after Godās own heart. This man (after Godās own heart) took a manās wife (Uriah WAS his name) when David already had several (Wait a minute! Polygamy? How was David a king and priest unto God when he wasnāt husband of ONE wife? Ah, thatās a question for many isnāt it?). Then, David had Uriah KILLED by using his authority as a king to pressure and oppress Uriahās wife into sleeping with and then sent her back to her husband to hide the fact that David had gotten her pregnant during their adulterous affair. He tried to get away with it. Then, when Uriah wouldnāt sleep with his wife because he wanted to HONOR king David while they were at war (Wow, what a guy), King David, the man after Godās own heart, used his authority as a king to order Uriah to be KILLED in battleā¦so that David could marry Bathesheba, Uriahās wifeā¦and David would get away with the affair. In a NOT public meeting, David is exposed and David repents! He ummā¦didnāt divorce Bathsheba šÆ. In fact, Jesus, the Messiah, came through her line! God never stopped David from being King. David didnāt publicly apologize to anybody! Yet God justā¦let it go?
What a foolish God right? I mean, if only God had YouTube like we do to see how prideful David was his whole life. If only God had CNN!!! I mean David called other races uncircumcised and uncultured, he bragged about God being with him all the time, writing all this music-WHO DOES THIS GUY THINK HE IS! All this adultery going on, and he thinks he can write Psalm 51 and everything is forgiven?!?!? And then he marries MULTIPLE women, he was in a gang for multiple years of his life, he killed tens of thousands of people, and ordered the killing of others, and then he uses his position to pressure a woman into having sex with him, and continues when he has one of his own RACE killed just to cover it up? God justā¦doesnāt know like we do. If only God knew David wouldnāt give Bathesheba up afterwards, but would instead stay with her and not go back to his other wivesā¦sssss⦠ā¦maybe God probably would have been all over social media crying out for justice too right?
Or maybe⦠⦠ā¦He wouldnāt š¤.
Maybeā¦Godās judgments are different than the judgments we holdā¦and our standards need to become more like His.
