Did you know that Giraffes battle for Dominance/Mating rights?
Male Giraffes usually engage in a battle that can be seen as gentle but powerful.
During the battle, the Giraffes swing their necks numerous times toward each other as well as using their horn-like structures (ossicones) to deliver heavier hits.
Giraffe battles normally end in one being severely injured or Dead.

Chief Meli Kiusa was the monarch of Moshi, Chaggaland from 1891-1900 and the son of the Great Chief Randi Mandara (Makindara) who reigned from 1860 - 1891.
Chief Meli is notable for his bravery and dedication in the fight against the German Colonialists, he fought for Kilimanjaro territory till his death during which he was hanged on a tree with 18 other chiefs and leaders of Chagga, Meru, and Arusha tribes.
It is been told that Chief Meli was beheaded and his head was shipped to Germany and until this very moment has not been found.

Conservation officers from the Tanzania Wildlife Authority (TAWA) successfully rescued a 4-week-old elephant calf from a mud pit in Kwamsanja village, near the Wamimbiki Game Reserve.
The calf got separated from its herd and stumbled into the pit, but thanks to a concerned citizen's report, the Wamimbiki Game Reserve team initiated the rescue operation.
Commander Emmanuel Lalashe, one of the rescuers, expressed gratitude to the local residents near Wamimbiki Reserve for their cooperation and dedication in protecting Tanzania's natural resources, especially the wildlife in the reserve.
