So many of us were taught that willpower and bootstrapping it were the only way to make things happen and create a business. While it works for some, it does not work when you have unhealed wounds or trauma.
Too many beautiful people with big hearts and even BIGGER missions are stuck in a freeze response, blaming themselves for not being able to “make it happen”.
I teach my clients the subconscious brain and nervous system will always override the intelligent brain, when it believes it is keeping you safe. Yes, we need to take action and put in the effort once we are healed, but no amount of willpower can overcome the limbic systems drive toward safety before healing.
Stepping into your purpose and building a business, must always start with the nervous system, if you have unhealed trauma. No amount of cognitive processing will remove the blocks to success, because the body keeps the score.
