Taalchakra believes in the power of music and a necessity of a platform for performance and appreciation. Taalchakra is a philanthropic touch to the world of music. It is the idea of Pt. Vijay Ghate, who with a group of music enthusiasts has created this platform to promote young and upcoming musicians and to financially support the needy ones.
So far Taalchakra has successfully staged, a rich variety of events encompassing vocal, instrumental performances in different parts of the country to promote this initiative. Besides encouraging young artistes, Taalchakra also plans to start a pension scheme for musicians and music teachers who are not in a position to support themselves due to various reasons and help them lead a dignified life. Music workshops by veteran musicians for the music lovers will also be conducted. Taalchakra mainly promotes classical music through its concerts. Good fusion music will also become part of it in due course of time.
