I still remember the first time I lay there listening to her heartbeat. I remember crying & laughing, trying to let it sink in that I am carrying my Shahnoor. Becoming a Mother has taught me to see life & its purpose way beyond me. The love I feel for my Noor makes me realize how much we can love, care & sacrifice for another. It truly makes you a better person because we learn to be selfless in a way that we are not in any other relationship. Thank you for choosing me to be your Mama, I am eternally grateful for our bond & our journey together. May Allah give you all the joy, love, success, peace & bliss all throughout your life.

Exactly this date & time last year we were taking this picture a day before Noor’s arrival. This last year has been truly the ride of our lives & as we prepare to celebrate our Shahnoor, we want to pat ourselves on our backs for turning 1 year old in our journey as parents. We all know having children is akin to having our hearts roam outside our bodies. The love is indescribable. But alongside that, the hardships, challenges, changes & struggles are indescribable as well. It’s not an easy path to walk & it has tested us beyond anything we have attempted before. Today as I celebrate myself I want to celebrate all of us. Mothers & Fathers are truly super heroes. To put your entire being aside , to sacrifice as we do , to love & care as we do. The truly unconditional love that exists ❤️
