I have a story to share with you
I was all set to mow the lawn when the mower refused to start. Suspecting a loose battery connection, I spent about 15 minutes trying to figure it out. Eventually, I used an alligator clamp to test the connection and confirmed the issue. Unfortunately, I got burned in the process because the clamp became scorching hot—ouch!
But that wasn't the end of my troubles. When I finally got the mower running, the blades started giving me grief. After several attempts of engaging and disengaging, I realized the belt had come loose. It hadn't broken, but I wondered if it was necessary in the first place. It was a confusing ordeal, but at least I learned a couple of lessons that day!
Edited: it turns out there was a piece of metal lodged inside the blades of the mower, causing so much torque causing the belt to burn. Oops!
