33 years ago today, November 9, 1989 the Berlin wall came down after standing for 28 years as an oppressive symbol of the Cold War. At 7pm the German news anchor stated, “This 9 November is a historic day. The GDR has announced that, starting immediately, its borders are open to everyone. The gates in the Wall stand open wide.”
What followed was confusion by those in charge, those guarding, and those trying to cross. By midnight the frustrated crowd was chanting “Tor auf!”—Open the gate! The checkpoints were over-run, and the wall fell. Over the weekend more than 2 million from East Berlin visited West Berlin to celebrate.

100 years ago today, November 4, 1922 British archaeologist Howard Carter and his workmen discovered a step leading to the tomb of King Tutankhamen in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. His financial backer Lord Canarvon was ready to pull the plug but Carter convinced him to give him one last chance, and he hit pay dirt.

ASMR videos meant to educate and relax.
I've been watching ASMR videos on YouTube since before they were ASMR videos. Desperately searching for a quality, pirated documentary without too many loud noises or mid-roll ads so I could fall asleep to it. If you've ever spent time scrolling for the same reason, this channel is for you. I want you to relax and know that there are no surprise noises coming. I want you to be interested in the topic at hand, but I'll be JUST boring enough that you won't get FOMO if you fall asleep.
