It's a bittersweet feeling, isn't it? Watching the franchises you grew up with get rebooted for an audience that missed the original ride. Back in the day, Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Urban Legend weren't just movies for meβthey were an event. My era.
So now I'm facing a classic '90s kid dilemma. My wife got free tickets to the new I Know What You Did Last Summer, and I have to choose:
Option A: Go to the cinema. Watch a potentially sanitized remake starring a cast that has no memory of VHS tapes or the magic of a Blockbuster Friday night.
Option B: Stay home. Grab my original VHS copy that I bought on boxing day in '98, grab a bag of Doritos, kill the lights, crank the subwoofer, and relive that pure, unfiltered '90s slasher energy.
Yeah I'm going for B! I already experienced the golden era of teen horror when it mattered and it was awesome!

I miss turning the TV on and seeing NEW nu metal music videos blaring at me...
I miss seeing new PS2 games on the shelves at Blockbuster video...
I miss Blockbuster video...

So you may have noticed I've kinda given up on my channel lately, I just can't find the get-go to make content but I don't want to let it die just yet so I'm thinking of videos I could do, people keep saying do reaction videos but I hate those videos plus I've seen all the classics a million times over so it wouldn't really be a "first time watch". The idea of sitting watching my favourite movies with a camera in my face while I do Kevin McAllister impressions makes me cringe to the point of just hurling up my lungs...

I think it's the first new flick I've seen in about 17 years that I genuinely wanted to own a physical copy of when it hit home format. π
Also We love the cups we got from the cinema!
