Team Hello There! Thank you for checking out the latest video essay on booktok and all sharing your thoughts and opinions on the subject matter. Some interesting things I learnt through the conversations I had with people in the comment section are, the dark romance book genre is largely a woman populated fandom and due to that I should have considered why woman may wish to write about sex in the manner they do in these books (sexual liberation etc). Another interesting conversation I had was about kinks and why it can be beneficial to have them included in these books for representation etc (as-long as it is not just glorification but there is conversation of nuance and safety measure etc)
I genuinely find talking to you all in the comment section such an incredible opportunity to learn as see things from other peoples perspectives. I think the reason why I have always put a huge importance on community building around my video essays is to minimise the risk of a para-social relationship forming with myself and the viewer. This is why I try to be as active as possible in comment sections, to swap opinions and talk about subject matters with you. I don’t always have to be right and you don’t always have to agree with me. It is genuinely lovely to see regular viewers commenting their views in the comment section. Regardless of whether they agree with me. It is great to see the community is one where people feel they can disagree with me and even educate me etc! (I also love all the nice compliments people give me about the videos to, I don’t want you to think I only appreciate when people disagree with me etc, the community is a great one hey!)
I never want this to be a scenario where it is cal uploads and i don’t want to say i don’t agree with him as I fear he will stop uploading - I genuinely enjoy fostering a community of critical thought where the viewers feel they can express their opinions on the subject!

HELLO THERE TEAM! Huge thank you for all the support on the latest videos. I have been doing knee slides around my flat in celebration! Also hello there to all the new subscribers, I hope you enjoy being part of the community! Just wanted to say, in regards to my comment sections and replying to comments in videos, I tend to reply to pretty much every comment for the first like 30 hours after a video is released & then from there I tend to be full steam ahead filming and editing my next video, around doing my full time job etc. (just saying this as I don’t want people thinking I do not reply to comments etc, I do read them all though, and it is great to see people in the community having discussions together in the comment section! I know I sound like a broken record at this point but I really just am so happy and grateful for this community! It is the highlight of my week uploading a video about a topic I am interested in and then getting to discuss it all with you in the comment section. I feel very validated and seen, so thank you! Hey Team! Just got done filming my next video essay, it could potentially be a long one but it has been one I have been researching for a while and have been looking forward to discussing with all of you! I just hope it makes some sort of sense when I edit it all up, as I do love ranting and going off on tangents! Also I did want to say as I did not want any of you thinking I was being rude, but I do check and read my instagram messages requests and so many of you have sent me such kind and lovely messages that really make my day and I am so grateful that you have taken the time to send such kind messages! I have however stopped replying to them as there have been a couple occasions now where people have used me replying to their kind message to say something inappropriate to me - which is not cool or swag! However if you ever have a question for me eg. Like someone one asked where I get my hair products from I am always happy to answer in my community page or my youtube comment section! Thank you team! TEAM! Sorry I have been a bit quiet on the community page, I have been a bit sleepy & busy with work! But all is well and have been working on a couple new projects which is fun!
