I have a confession… and a hot take, because I cook food for the internet, I’ll usually make a sunny-side egg for the aesthetic. BUT, my preference is Fried or slightly over medium, where the yolks are almost set, with just a little bit of jamminess—I just don’t need the yolk to be that runny…

My Auntie’s Hen Xuc Banh Da / Baby Clams and Rice Crackers is one of my favorite dishes of all time. I’ve been asking her for the recipe for yeaaars, and like most Asian moms and aunties, she doesn't measure any of her ingredients. It’s just a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and there you have it. With her instructions, though, I was able to recreate it!
