Founded in 1996 amidst the vibrant underground music scene of Tbilisi, Georgia, Plakqsa emerged as a distinctive blend of new wave, darkwave, post-punk, and dream wave. The original lineup comprised David Max Machavariani as the vocalist and songwriter, Lado Oniani as the guitarist and songwriter, Beka Kaldani on bass, Dika Pavlov on drums, and David Meskhi on keyboards. Additionally, George Kuntelia contributed with performances.
The current band lineup features David Max Machavariani as the vocalist, Lado Oniani on guitar and as a drum/keyboard sequencer, Beka Kaldani on bass.
