WOW, I JUST HIT 8K SUBSCRIBERS!!!
Thank you all for the continued support throughout the years, I seriously wouldn't be doing what I do if it were not for all of you! It is still hard to believe that all of this started with a broken polymoog 280a in my bedroom back in 2008 and grew into the restoration business it is today. That one Polymoog is what encouraged me to major in electronics in college. I would have never believed back in those early days that I would have my hands in so many classic synths for both famous musicians as well as the garage musician alike...you are all important in my eyes and proud to be able to be of some service.

Thank you all!!

Sincerely,
Jareth

It has been a Zcar weekend!

New valve cover gasket, fuel regulator, new throttle body gasket, and timing adjustments. Also checked compression and have a even 150psi across all 6 cylinders.

Also found out that the cam has been upgraded along with the lubrication system. For 1976, these cars had a little tube running along the cam that would shoot oil out onto cam/valve assembly, this tube was bad about cracking and you would lose lubrication at some of the valves/lobes causing extreme wear. This car has a hollow cam that is ported for a more direct lubercation. Luckily I am still running the N42 head, (that is one of the better heads).

Well, it finally happened!! Last weekend I drove my 76 280z 44 miles from my friend's house to home. This week it is my daily driver and doing very well! It's a very interesting feeling driving a 1970s car to work so I can restore 1970s moog synthesizers. As of right now I have put 420 miles on the Z since the junkyard rescue.

This is a photo of Knight's minimoog sitting on the hood.

Finally getting some exhaust on the Z today. My ears will hopefully no longer ring and I know neighbors will be happy, lol

First trip to the fuel station and first full tank of gasoline in my 280z. This is probably the first time this car has had a full tank in at least 13 years! From junkyard to driving is such a proud moment.
