Привет! How many hours do you spend learning Russian on average each week?
A student of mine recently said that whenever she comes across an interesting text online, she always puts it in LingQ (an app/online tool).
And a year ago I had an interview with the founder of LingQ, Steve Kaufmann - fully in Russian (he's Canadian).
So I decided to try and see how their tool helps Russian students.
Turns out, it's actually a nice tool that is incredibly helpful in the beginning to intermediate stages of learning Russian.
And especially if you like to read books in Russian.
As you may know, reading Russian books/texts can be a lot of fun. But the downside is that you need a base level in Russian - otherwise you just don't understand anything.
So with LingQ you can just import texts (or full books if you want), and read them.
1) While reading you can just click on any Russian word you don't know
2) Then it shows you the different meanings (but with the most commonly used one on top) and you can then add this word to your personal flashcard deck
3) Continue pressing words you don't know untill you get the full sentence
4) Go to the next sentence and repeat steps 1 to 3
