Every time I’ve played a gig at Lizotte’s I always wished I could have recorded it to share with everyone because every time we play there it feels like a special occasion when the room is full of people and in particular people that love music you can’t go wrong. Of course it all starts with Brian and Jo and their spirit makes its way through the whole staff.
The room at Lizotte‘s has some kind of magic I can’t explain but I hope these songs go a little way in helping you feel that magic.
It was the first time I had played some of these new songs live and to have Benjy Pocock with me was a delight. Thanks to Duncan and Brock from The Filmery for capturing it all. 6 songs from the album The World Today, please enjoy... Troy xx

On September 13 2020 in the middle of COVID I headed to Sydney to record The World Today with Matt Fell on production duties - on March 19 2021 the album was released - this documentary gives you a little insight into making the album , it’s one I am incredibly proud of… so sit back and take the ride with me as we break it down and talk making records! Some of this may bore you but some will give you a better understanding of how some music is made, we all do it differently but this was such an experience to record I wanted to share some of the detail with you, please enjoy...
