Y-INTEL is a pop-reggae artist, who was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. Now living in the Netherlands, he contributes to the development of the reggae scene in and beyond Amsterdam.
After years of writing poetry (Poems from the Musing series, available under the name Yohan S.R. Lee on Amazon) and being home more than usual during COVID-19, he began exploring his longtime dream/passion - making his own music.
In May 2021, he released his first album, STRANDS. He experiments with different sounds and takes on a wide range of topics he finds interesting. Music, even more so than poetry, is an avenue through which he can share his stories on struggles, realisations, and hopes. If he sings it, he's lived it, seen it, or learned from it.
