Our first duty is not to hurt our humble brothers, but to stop there is to completely misunderstand the purposes of God's providence. We have an even higher mission. God wants us to support our brothers whenever they need us.
No father, mother, child, or any other person can cherish the object of their affection with as great a love as God cherishes a soul.
When linked together by the power of prayer, we can say we hold hands to move forward on a slippery path; Thanks to a soul filled with charity, the more we each rely on others, the more closely we are linked together in brotherly love.
There is a kind of love that is like a small lamp that burns brightly with oil, and will go out when the oil runs out; or like a stream overflowing with rainwater, and when the rain does not supply it with water, it dries up. But there is also a kind of love that is like a stream rising from the ground, never drying up. The first type of love belongs to humanity; The second type of love belongs to God and takes God as its source.

Let love and fidelity never leave you; Tie them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name before God and man. ā
Nothing makes people lose God's grace and more surely lead to destruction than picking on, slandering and condemning those around them. To condemn is to say this: So-and-so is a liar, an adulterer, a bad person. That person has condemned the state of the soul and judged the entire life of others... That is a mortal sinā¦. Only God has the right to declare merit or condemnation, because He knows the state of every person's soul, their strengths, their tendencies and their gifts.
I will show you only one thing that will help us to be steadfast in good conduct and to endure to the end: love God with all your soul, with all your heart, with all your mind, and work for God. Him alone. Then God will give you strength and great joyā¦. The entire yoke of God will become soft and light for youā¦ in adversity, by striving and risingā¦ you will gradually become stronger andā¦ no longer fear evil .
