It's been a bit busy over here - I just got back from the Plein Air Down Under festival #PADU2024 and Inktober is about to start! Here are the paintings I completed over the festival. Oh and the Makuru video is nearly finished and this should be a quiet week to get it done, so hopefully a video will be out very soon! :)

I'm currently editing the last two videos for the Noongar seasons series, so they should be released soon. I've managed to do a fair bit of nature journaling during July but its mostly sketchy walk pages. Wildflower season soon!

June was a busy month for nature journaling! Here are my favourite pages from International Nature Journaling Week (June 1-7). I also helped some Year 5's from Santa Maria College learn nature journaling while they visited Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre on an excursion.
I also got sick towards the end of the month and I'm currently recovering from another round, but hopefully back on track with editing more videos soon. ;)

Have you been doing any plein air paintings or outdoor nature journaling this month? I've been casually joining in for Plein Airpril by doing a daily outdoor painting when I can. I'm also working through a gouache course from @JustinDonaldsonArt with the hope of eventually making some gouache landscape coasters! Anyway here are some plein air paintings from this month. :)

I'm back from camping in the Stirling Ranges - I managed to do a plein air painting at the top of Bluff Knoll and took lots of photos that I'll hopefully use for reference in future. The highlight for me was seeing honey possums!

Here are some pics of my plein air painting this month. It's getting close to Plein Airpril..
