Hanubhairav in Rishikesh
Yesterday I had to ship some heavyweight parcels to the Gurukulam as it was my last day here. We loaded all the equipment on the Activa scooter.
Then we had to drive across the hills for 16km through the potholes, narrow gullies and traffic streets of Rishikesh, carrying two big, heavy and long boxes to reach in time.
It took some heroic effort to get it done as quickly as we did without drama.
Indiapost took one large box. They didn't accept the big wooden gada that we found on the shores of Ganga. So we had to find another courier service near the city centre.
After we came out after shipping the big wooden gada, across the road we saw this murti of Hanubhairav. We took darshan.
It's Bhairav with a Hanu of Hanuman. Don't ask me the story because I don't know. But I thought of sharing the blessings with you all.

Did the vanaras have no weapon in battle? Or did they have the magical Hanuman Gada. What do you think?
