Happy Vernal Equinox from the Lakota People's Law Project!

The beginning of Spring (Wétu) is a time of new growth and sunlight. Traditionally, the equinox marked the beginning of Lakota bands' ceremonial annual journey through the Black Hills, following the sun as it moves through four constellations through the summer solstice.

In these uncertain times, we're wishing you a warm, joyous, and bountiful spring, wherever you may be.
