For over 50 years, UNDP has been on the front lines of the global efforts to end poverty, protect the planet and improve people's lives. As the lead development agency of the United Nations (UN), UNDP is active in nearly every country in the world, working with governments and citizens alike, helping to provide the services that improve the lives of millions of people.
UNDP Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean advances this work in 10 Caribbean countries, including Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, the British Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Taking a "Blue Economy for Green Islands" approach to eradicating poverty in the region, UNDP's policy and knowledge advisory work focuses on things everyone needs, including a clean environment, effective government, resilience to natural and man-made hazards and sustainable energy.
