Every 5 Years, on August 17th, I take a picture of five of my serama chickens.

Each photo must contain at least one chicken from the last picture.

In the first and second pictures it is the black chicken (fourth from the left).
And in the second and third pictures it is the dark rooster (second from the left).

This project helps me keep the memory of each generation alive and connects it with the now 💫

Sad news... just hours after this last picture, my dear hen has died exactly at her 9th birthday.
I'm still in shock, because everything went so fast and unexpected.
But at the same time, I'm just thankful for her life, and for the impact she had on mine.

Rest in peace, sleep well ✨

Happy 8th Birthday Pieps!

She was the first chick we ever hatched, I was 11 years old at this time - since then she has been a part of my life :)

I only started on YouTube because of her - see my first video.
