A few years ago, a buddy of mine named Kevin Hutto drew out this graph As he first explained his "Digital Oil Wells" concept to me...
First... Follow the blue line.
You can see there is a really big surge of time (and energy) required in the beginning to build and test your way to cashflow.
Then, after you've proven the model with a minimum viable test, you can begin to automate and outsource "the work" which is why the blue line trends towards zero.
Because the businesses we build should continue to drive consistent cash flow over time (green line), even once you've stopped working on/in them.
But it takes a massive push!
Then there is the orange line which is your return on the time and energy invested.
Notice how this line seems to go up and to the right forever?
This is what makes it a digital oil well so powerful.
You don't have to put any time in and it continues to pump out cash flow month after month like an oil well, once it's built and optimized!
This is what I like about the Amazon Influencer Program as a starter side-hustle...
A big surge of activity reviewing everything you can get your hands on for a year...
While getting good at 'getting the click' (which you gotta learn no matter what)
And you'd have a library of videos that could generate cashflow for years.
No having to be on camera or build a brand.
Just mastering making little 2-minute videos of stuff (literally, all the stuff you've ever bought from Amazon) with great titles and thumbnails that get clicks.

You see...
Growing up, my family didn't "get" this money-game stuff.
They avoided talking about or thinking about money because it made them uncomfortable.
That said...
They did "get" the 'raise their son with love' idea, so I'm eternally grateful for my parents and my upbringing...
But I yearned for more freedom in my life.
To have the freedom to not work for a week or two because the weather was PERFECT to head up to a National Park for some camping.
...And not having to ask a 'boss' for that time off.
To have the freedom to just go.
And the freedom to live like a retired snowbird while I'm still young and fit instead of postponing my dream lifestyle until I'm old and retired.
To spend winters in the SW where it's sunny and warm.
So I can hike and spend time outside all year long.
While still getting to spend summers up in the mountains at the lake on my permaculture farm.
This is my 'dream life' and it's funded by my mastery of the money game.
But this 'new life' I live is a far cry from how I grew up.
Because all my family knew was work 40hrs/week for the man and barely have enough to get by.
That old "work 40 hrs/week for 40 years to retire broke" system is broken.
It's a trap.
It's designed to suck your life energy out of you, 1 hour at a time.
And then to suck more life energy out of you with all the taxes and inflation.
It's almost as if it's by design!
But you don't have to go down that path.
You can break free.
Once you know how the game works!
And more importantly...
Once you know the strategy that can break you free from the money game.
