I've been working on the next tutorial series for what is probably the most requested build to date. Because of the complex nature of the build, I had to figure out the best way to approach it and I think that I've figured it out. I'm aiming for a release for the first episode in 1-2 weeks. Perhaps it can be done faster, but I don't want to promise anything yet. In the meantime check out my latest build, the 'Shinju Castle' and brace yourselves for the next tutorial. Thank you so much for the support. I can't wait to give you more content!

People often ask about using alternative blocks for my builds. What works and what doesn't. When I design my builds I'm usually torn between different color palettes. In the end I have to choose one, but the simple truth is that more often than not there's not one right answer. Going forward I want to give you more options for materials when making tutorials. Some people don't want to grind rare materials, so it's nice to know that you can design builds with accessible blocks.
Here you can see my latest build, The Echelon, with four different color schemes that all work well, in my opinion. The mud brick version echoes The Sanctum. I particular like the golden version that gives me Leyndell Royal Capital from Elden Ring, vibes.
Click the link below to check out the timelapse of The Echelon. The variants can be downloaded through my Patreon, but I will do a tutorial eventually. Thank you so much for the support!

Last weekend, I took a day trip to Copenhagen to do some sightseeing and catch a baroque exhibition. I've wanted to build something from my home country for a while now, and there are so many great buildings to draw inspiration from. The exhibition featured beautiful paintings, some by Rubens and even Rembrandt, but what truly caught my eye were the several interesting paintings of architecture.

I hope you're all doing well. Cheers!

Back in 2015 I made this build, heavily inspired by Saint Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. It's a scaled up version to bring a bit more detail and the interior is nothing like the real version. If made today I would've designed it differently, but I'm still happy with how it turned out. This version was copied into a v1.19 map. Download the JAVA version for free by using the link below.

For the last two month I've been on the Elgeis Minecraft Server and even though I've been busy with my channel and work, I have been working on my home base now and again (check image). It's still early stages so it doesn't look like much yet. Imagine a house on top of the tree, more branches and leaves etc. Check out the description below to see what the server is all about:

Do you like politics, character roleplay, and Minecraft? Do you like playing long-term multiplayer games that force you to cooperate with others, where plans are realized over real-life weeks, months, or even years?

Then I encourage you to check out the Elgeis Minecraft Server! Our server features endless opportunities for both character RP and nationbuilding, thanks to a multitude of things that set us apart from other servers:
🔹Active, international community of around 325 people
🔹Professional staff picked from the community
🔹Several plugins to enhance the RP experience, from claiming land to custom alcohol recipes!
🔹Running uninterrupted since August 30th, 2018
🔹Organic ingame political landscape with minimal admin intervention - you can do whatever you want as long as it isn't cheating or otherwise against the rules
🔹Many current countries, with populations ranging from one to dozens of people, with their own laws, cultures, religions, and even fully-functional constructed languages!
🔹A dynamic poltical landscape with nearly five years of history, lore, and layered cultures built on top of one another
🔹The ultimate experience combining the sandbox gameplay of survival Minecraft with nationbuilding RP

After making the tutorial series I've wanted to release an updated version of the build, based on the castle I made in the tutorials. I did a lot of minor improvements during the series, especially to the pagoda, and later I also made some extra changes to the Tenshu's (Main Castle) rooftops. There's also a basement inside the foundation now, ready to be furnished. I've decided to release it to the lowest Patreon tier too. Check out the link below and thank you all so much for the love and support! :-)

Check out Sweetaffy's "The Ancients' Bridge" build. It's a stunning and unique design and a lesson in the art of crafting weathered and dilapidated structures. It's something I struggle with myself. When I set out to create an old weathered building, I'm often hesitant to, well.. ruin the build. Destroying parts of a pristine structure can add mystery and interest. It's all about the story you want to tell.

What build would you like to see a tutorial series for next?

My other builds like The Monastery and my survival world builds (Dark Forest Sanctuary, Bath Tower, Coal Tower, Survival Base, Golden Mill etc.) are very context specific, which makes them a bit tricky to turn into tutorials. However, if there's a demand for it I could make tutorials for the individual buildings and how to build them into new worlds. Maybe I can post seeds that'll work particulaly well for a given build, when update 1.20 is released.

Check out Rohan's latest video where he explains the process of building a castle ruin. He has some really great advice that's worth remembering and the build is just stunning.

I will do a video on my own process at some point, but it needs a bit of planning. Thank you all!
