Osmia Bee is a family-owned business based in Cincinnati, Ohio. We have been raising native bees since 2011 and these incredible pollinators have piqued the interest of our friends and community. Our name, Osmia, refers to the genus of some of our favorite pollinators, Mason Bees.
Bees are incredible creatures that make our beautiful world turn. Because of bees, we have colorful foods, makeup products and perfumes, and medicines and antibiotics. But the bee population is in crisis from habitat loss, urbanization, and chemicals--and it's up to us to save them. Imagine a world without color, taste, or smell. This is a world without bees.
We've partnered with bee experts all over the U.S. to develop bee raising kits that enable others to raise these super-pollinators and increase the bee population. With the help of Osmia Bee, you can make a real difference in the world by starting in your own backyard.
