Minha Carne is the product of a detachment from the authors training field - visual arts; and a detachment from everything that is categorized as art through an exercise fixing this concept to a condition of leisure. The work originates from the boundary, taking it as the artistic matter that, politically and socially, also transpires in J A Roque and Sílvia de Pinho's conceptual and artistic assumptions. Therefore, it consists on a plunging into the creative possibilities of the very own limitations inherent to operating in a field in which the authors have no technical expertise. That field, the boundary in question, is culturally and socially identified as music. Here transported to other semantic/semiotic territories linked to the work's conceptual blueprint.
