This work symbolizes societies recovery from the coronavirus that emerged from the abuse of nature by humans. It is a diaristic documentation of my struggle with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (blood clots in the brain) that have been triggered by pregnancy and oral contraception. Instead of my stomach, I applied the heparin (bloodthinner) injections on a melon.

Yelena Myshko (Kyiv, 1985) is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in fashion design, performance art and gender studies. She is exploring the social and visual phenomena of the time spirit. Using immersive methods she tries to find and unravel existential tension points within her environment from which she creates art, fashion and theory.
