hi! my name is yaya, i started gardening at 16 and am on my 3rd year now. i’ve always had an interest in how plants grew, so i took the challenge and fell in love with it. i love to diy whatever i can to show others you don’t need all the expensive items to grow your own food (although it’s nice). my ultimate goal is to share knowledge, obtain it, and inspire others to not 100% depend on others for food we all deserve to consume. gardening has taught me many amazing traits thus far. patience, time management, independence, problem solving, etc. i encourage anyone who is thinking about starting, to just start!!
few tips are to purchase seeds from the dollar store, they’re 4 for $1.25. cheap starter pots come 12 for $1.25 (small), and 6 for $1.25 (medium). i never spend more than $4 on soil or compost because i buy cheap and amend using homemade compost (worm bin).
i appreciate everyone that is willing to come along in this learning process with me, i am open to any knowledge!
