On December 7th in Denver, CO, I am going to be a guest on a LIVE episode of Backpacker Radio. When I first started doing mystery content on my channel, I started getting flooded with comments comparing my videos to that of @MrBallen. I had honestly never heard of him until the comparisons started, but once I looked at his channel I was absolutely blown away. Incredible stories told by an incredible story teller. It became obvious that he is the Michael Jordan of storytelling YouTube. Most of the comparisons were (accurately) saying that my videos were the Kmart version of his 😂
...and then a few months later he commented on one of my videos, calling it 'powerful.' I slide into his DMs, and long story short this eventually led to him inviting me and Lela out to see his live show in San Antonio. He had nothing to gain from this, no reason to do it other than to show some love to a smaller YouTuber.
He's on tour right now and I highly recommend you go see his live show if you're a fan of the strange, dark, and mysterious! Thanks so much John!

On March 3rd, 2024, my girlfriend experienced a freak accident as we started what was supposed to be an easy hike. It was the kind of thing you hear about occasionally, but isn't really supposed to happen to you or people you love.

Did you catch my latest video? It's a collection of disturbing murders (many of which I think need more attention), definietly not something you want to watch before your next camping trip. At the end of the video I give a call out to charity that helps support victims of crime. I'm quite proud of this video but for some reason the algorithm isn't, so I would greatly appreciate if you could go show it some love!

Hi everybody, unfortunately I do not have a video for y'all today like usual because I'm having some issues with YouTube's age-restriction system. When I was 16, I learned what the Appalachian Trail was. Being an ambitious teenager, I decided that one day I was going to attempt the trek from Georgia to Maine. I realized that goal in 2018, and have hiked thousands of additional miles since.
