scenario set in the Indian empire during its golden age:

LITHIUM RESERVES A BIG DEAL FOR INDIA

For the first time, India discovered 5.9 million tonnes of lithium (Li) in the Salal Haimana area of J&K's Reasi District.

But, What is the use Of Li?

Well, Lithium is one of the key components in batteries that are used in laptops, phones, and many more. It is also hugely used in the glass and ceramics industry.

While the whole world transitions from Gasoline, Diesel, and Petrol to Electric Vehicles, Lithium Ion batteries are one of

the key components in this process and

demand will go up.

Lithium also called white gold will play an important role to help countries to reach carbon neutrality in their targeted time.

But according to the reports from IEA, the world will face a shortage of Lithium by 2025 which is not a piece of good

news.

But the problem is China still dominates the exports of lithium-ion cells. China is responsible for 75% of the World's Lithium processing and Refining although it doesn't have any lithium reserves.

A US-based committee claims that between 2018 and 2020, China spent $16 billion on mining operations abroad to explore lithium. It also made investments in the "lithium triangle" region of South America.

While India, which has mostly relied on imports for the mineral from China and other countries, now has hope with the finding of a large reserve.

This will be a game changer for India where it can meet the domestic demand and export for the countries.

In Union Budget 2023-2024 our FM has allocated 35000 Cr for carbon-neutral causes will be an added advantage that will help to reduce the price of the EVs through which the majority of people can afford to buy.
