I thought it was impossible to earn money from mobile apps when I started in 2018. My Apps made a bit more than $100 in my first years in the AppStore.
How is that even possible to make $3ā¦4K in a month almost on autopilot?
In 2023 I made $50K in sales while having just a few hours in a week to work on my apps. Usually, I do all the work in short 30-day sprints a few times a year.
Here is how you can replicate that:
- Chose the audience to build a product for
- Think about Apps you can build for them
- Pick the one that is easy to build
- Do not build yet! Research first, validate your product idea
- Build simple MVP
- Monetize
- If it works, keep it, if not do all the steps again
- Congrats, you have a low-maintenance income stream from the Mobile App

I already shared this in the newsletter, but in case any from OGs missed it:
I'm quietly and slowly launching š Indie App Accelerator. www.skool.com/indie-app-accelerator-6583/about
That is a private community for indie app developers who want to go from 0 to $10K/month in AppStore
As you may know, I'm in the middle between ramen profitability and full-time indie :)

The community will stay open to joining but will increase the price when will starts to promote it in videos and on socials.
Currently, there is a nice small community of members about 1-hour long indie Solopreneur App building course included.
No worries, I will keep creating content and sharing all I know on YouTube for free.
I just wanted to create a small interactive community to bounce ideas and help each other.

When I'm making reels I always think about posting them on YouTube shorts as well, but not always do.
So, if you like to see more behind-the-scenes stories and photos, they are on Instagram.
P.S. Installing the Fallout 4 update today to play later at night.
Maybe.
If I do not spend the night on side projects :)

I didn't have time to record a video about the development of Apple Vision Pro, but we had a nice livestream and discussed pretty much what I wanted to say about that.
M1 Pro was struggling with the simulator and stream, but the video fixed itself a few minutes in.
Use the timestamps to jump between topics.
Thanks for coming š

When I started indie iOS app development I thought that programming was the most valuable skill for indie.
Now I think it is marketing and for the iOS app specifically that is AppStore Search Optimisation.
I'm still learning ASO, but recorded a video about how I do that.
Got from 3,5K to 18,6K monthly impressions

If you have an App in the AppStore, you should run Product Page Optimization experiments.
I started one on Monday and see that new screenshots getting 7-14% more downloads.
I will keep an eye on it till the end of the week and then will write down a summary for the newsletter.
Let me know if we need a video about this topic.
