This is us in LA in October, together for the first time since February. We had plans to finish our record in April and do a full national tour in October and November. With lockdowns and no travel, we ended up finishing Searching For The Light over the summer via emails, phone calls, and zooms. We sent individual vocal, guitar, and synth parts around for months until it all felt right. A lot of songs get made this way today, but for us it was a challenge. Like everyone else in the world, we had to figure out a new way to get things done. The song will forever sound different because of the way we recorded it. Does anything ever go as planned?

The idea of āSearching for the Lightā came out naturally as a reflection of the human condition, the search for meaning, the discovery process. The lyrics describe the desire to isolate, to block out things, to do things alone, to avoid help. Sometimes you need to step away to find your way.

VHS Collection is a New York based electro rock band. In the last year, VHS has earned a reputation for powerful songwriting and high-energy live performances, driven by heavy vocal narratives coupled with deep synth and guitar leads. The band resides in NYC where they are working on their first full album, set for release in December of 2015.
