Hello! Just dropping by with a a new translation! (turn on CC to view)
It's a Voiceroid Theater short, featuring Nurse Robo Type-T (of VOICEVOX).
Title: "Daisy Crazy"
Thumbnail text: "Do you feel a heart from a mere machine like me?"
Desc: 2036. The ending stages of World War 3. Dear Patient, you're a very special person to me...

By one of my favorite voiceroid authors who kindly allowed me to subtitle it, please give it a watch! (Note: Contains some dark/grisly scenes)

Rewrote my translation of Nashimoto Ui's "Repeat" to be singable in English!

Question: I already uploaded a translation of that song to this channel before, but should I upload the updated singable translation here as well? (the original Miku ver. ofc)

Wasn't sure if it'd be wise to basically necro this channel with a stray retranslation.

IN the meantime though I uploaded my uh, own attempt at singing it on my smaller personal channel, if you wanna check that out.

Side ramble: Some of you may have noticed I started writing translyrics for songs and covering them, and it's mostly been due to the influence of a friend in Japan, who has a passion for getting more singable JP -> EN songs out there.

...but frankly, I'm starting to think it's more effective just translating and subtitling songs w/o the covers if the goal is to give the song an audience in English.

Though I'm giving it a shot anyways cuz it's a fun excuse to sing :P

Anyways these friends of mine are aspiring to be more like performers, but fraaankly I'm starting to think I miight be more of a behind-the-scenes kinda guy.

Buut it is fun to sing despite being an amateur at it, sooo I'll probably keep at it a bit.

That said... I'm starting to think, it might've been more down my alley translating lesser known/up and coming vocaloid songs, singable or not, to get them discovered. At least, doing that really fired me up and inspired me, so... maybe I should focus on that again instead of just on songs to specifically sing...?

Only, I've gotten advice to sing/translate big popular stuff if I want any traction, buuut frankly I don't care about going "big", I just wanna simp for my fave vocaloid songs.

And trying this stuff kinda got that interest fired back up again. (Err, no promises yet though =v=;)
But after all these years the Vocaloid scene is still going surprisingly strong, so, I feel I do at least have a place to return to!

Anywhoo sorry to ramble outta nowhere, and if you read this far, sorry and thanks lol. Hope you're all doing well out there.

Working on Translyrics for 抛擲 (Abandonment) by 高城みよ @inktrans (Miyo Takashiro) from their album, "Embroidery".

Just a personal fan project. It's a concept album so hope I can translate it all one day. This track in particular really vibes with the story I'm trying to write, so I wanted to get to know it better.

You can listen to it here: (no subtitles)
https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=dI_...

And here's my translation:

---------------------------------------
抛擲 (Abandonment) by 高城みよ (Miyo Takashiro)

Within a lone mechanical box/a line draws into a blur

Even/today/it still/stays closed
And night…/doesn’t end

It’ll stay this way/forever unchanged
Fading into white/a vanishing wisp

Passing through/ a dream like this
Right now…/I took hold of that hand

Fluttering free/ the /velvet falls
The bouquet sways/ with the/ dancing of frills

Beyond the finger/ that traces the/ line of the seam
Just what lies ahead?

The hands adorned upon the clock
Remain so ever still

Tomor/row ends as still Today
again/without change

It’ll stay this way/forever unchanged
Falling deep into black/ bound up as it falls

Feeling the gaze that turns back to me
Again/ I just kept my lips sealed

Within this dazzling/ fantasy
I feel the dancing/ beat of my heart

The piercing shine of the knife I hold
Right now, ended it here (with my own hands)

The drapes are carried by a fluttering breeze
The ribbons flowing with/ stardust aswim

Beyond the finger/ that traces the/ line of the seam
Just what lies ahead?

----------------------------------------------
Tried my best to make it singable, please feel free to share feedback or any other thoughts on the piece.

Pretty challenging translation- this is just my own interpretation, with the album and song title helping to guide me along.

Heyo! I translated and covered "Boku no Friend" by Miyuhan in English!
I won't subject you all to my amateurish singing so I just tossed it onto my old personal channel.

Please use or modify the translation as you please to sing your own covers in English!!

Not sure how often I'll do this but I got my eye on a handful of more songs I wanna make workable translyrics for, so please look forward to a few more...... eventually.... aha

Hey. Orio here (the translator dude). Yep, I'm still alive! I'm sorry this channel has gone completely frozen. I'm sorry I can't promise it'll start up again.

Every now and then, I'll go through some old songs and go on a feels trip. It's been awhile since I logged in on this account, and I'm shocked to see that even today, people are leaving comments, that so many people are still discovering new songs and sharing their love and excitement and all sorts of mixed up feelings from the music they hear here. It truly moves my heart- I love this community I got to grow up with. I'm glad I was able to be a little part of it all and help deliver songs and their messages to people.

It seriously means so much to me- and lifts me back up when I'm feeling at my worst.

Anyways- what brought me back here in the first place tonight was the last song I published, Idle Days, the only self-authored song I put on this channel. I thought I should share some ambitions around this song and its ideas that have been slowly bubbling up and showing signs of bearing fruit these past many years.

Simply put, I've been turning it into a story. A visual novel, to be exact. This song is the heart of the story- and I've composed more instrumental music alongside it to help bring the world of this story to life.

For better or worse, I'm a jack of all trades who can never focus on a single ambition to complete- so I forced all my past ambitions into one big multimedia project, and have come to rely more on those around me to make up for the things I lack to help make it become a reality.

Still, it's hard to let it grow when it's all hidden away, with no expectations around it but from me. I don't think I'm strong enough to believe in it all by myself and keep pushing forward to really make it happen. I'm afraid it might disappear like everything else, as an unuttered wish.

So, if you'll forgive me, I just wanted to share this wish with you all. Maybe your wishes can help it come true too? It's a story about wishes too, after all- and the sort of unseen 'magic' that can move our hearts in ordinary life.

.....GOD THAT SOUNDS CORNY WHEN I SAY IT. Yeah, just spirit ball me with your wishes, I'm goku here.
(ok but for real, any wishes of support would mean the world to me)

*ahem*. Anyways. I won't hijack this channel for it, so here's the (currently barren) Twitter where you can follow this project if you'd like.
twitter.com/Kokoro_Ink_VN

Expect a *very rough* playable preview soon. Before the end of June at least cause by god I can't screw it up that bad, can I?

Thank you so much for reading my wall of text and I hope you have a lovely day.
