Translated episodes 4 & 5 of the Kizuna Akari series by Munouryokusya~
Note: Subtitles are best viewed on the computer!
Apparently viewing them on android reverts them to the default blocky youtube subs, though iphones sorta kinda work? But viewing on desktop preserves all the type-setting effects and keeps it nice and clean to read.

Ep. 4

Ep. 5

I've also started a playlist to compile my voiceroid fan translations on other channels:

New song cover just dropped by Munouryokusya~ (acapella)
I slapped some subtitles onto it (not my translation, I just used the original English lyrics).

The song is also featured in their original one-shot, which I also subtitled in English (Just updated them to look much nicer on youtube too, best viewed on desktop). Check it out if you're curious~

Interesting bit of trivia, Daisy Bell was the first song to be sung by a computer, in 1961.
(Found a video where you can listen to that, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41U78...)

Really cool how history can serve as inspiration for sci-fi 'v' watch video on watch page

Translated Ep. 3 of the Kizuna Akari series~
One of my favorite episodes, especially the picnic scene and all the build-up to it TvT
Ep. 4 is like 70% done too 'v'

I get that this voiceroid stuff is still super niche in English, but that's precisely why I wanna bring it into the spotlight more, there's sooo many hidden gems people have cooked up with it. Hope you might check it out and enjoy~ watch video on watch page

Forgot to share this wonderful short by Munouryokusya I translated awhile back.
For anyone who struggles to create, I think this one will speak to ya.
(Don't mind the yandere tag it's pretty subtle, author just loves that flavor of character =v=) watch video on watch page

Happy holidays, y'all!
Anyone ask for yandere robo Kizuna Akari going skynet on earth's ass for LOVE? No? Well TOO BAD cuz I translated the first 2 episodes of my favorite series by Munouryokusya! (turn on CC)
And I finally learned how to make fancier subtitle visuals appear on youtube's built-in subs while I was at it. (Though it's still a tad clunky).

Seriously though it's an amazing, chilling, heart-moving series and I am hyped to translate more of it, so I hope some of you may see it.
I hope you all have a wonderful new year, see ya on the other side!

Hello! Just dropping by with a a new translation! (turn on CC to view)
It's a Voiceroid Theater short, featuring Nurse Robo Type-T (of VOICEVOX).
Title: "Daisy Crazy"
Thumbnail text: "Do you feel a heart from a mere machine like me?"
Desc: 2036. The ending stages of World War 3. Dear Patient, you're a very special person to me...

By one of my favorite voiceroid authors who kindly allowed me to subtitle it, please give it a watch! (Note: Contains some dark/grisly scenes) watch video on watch page

Rewrote my translation of Nashimoto Ui's "Repeat" to be singable in English!

Question: I already uploaded a translation of that song to this channel before, but should I upload the updated singable translation here as well? (the original Miku ver. ofc)

Wasn't sure if it'd be wise to basically necro this channel with a stray retranslation.

IN the meantime though I uploaded my uh, own attempt at singing it on my smaller personal channel, if you wanna check that out.

- - -
Side ramble: Some of you may have noticed I started writing translyrics for songs and covering them, and it's mostly been due to the influence of a friend in Japan, who has a passion for getting more singable JP -> EN songs out there.

...but frankly, I'm starting to think it's more effective just translating and subtitling songs w/o the covers if the goal is to give the song an audience in English.

Though I'm giving it a shot anyways cuz it's a fun excuse to sing :P

Anyways these friends of mine are aspiring to be more like performers, but fraaankly I'm starting to think I miight be more of a behind-the-scenes kinda guy.

Buut it is fun to sing despite being an amateur at it, sooo I'll probably keep at it a bit.

That said... I'm starting to think, it might've been more down my alley translating lesser known/up and coming vocaloid songs, singable or not, to get them discovered. At least, doing that really fired me up and inspired me, so... maybe I should focus on that again instead of just on songs to specifically sing...?

Only, I've gotten advice to sing/translate big popular stuff if I want any traction, buuut frankly I don't care about going "big", I just wanna simp for my fave vocaloid songs.

And trying this stuff kinda got that interest fired back up again. (Err, no promises yet though =v=;)
But after all these years the Vocaloid scene is still going surprisingly strong, so, I feel I do at least have a place to return to!

Anywhoo sorry to ramble outta nowhere, and if you read this far, sorry and thanks lol. Hope you're all doing well out there.

Working on Translyrics for 抛擲 (Abandonment) by 高城みよ @inktrans (Miyo Takashiro) from their album, "Embroidery".

Just a personal fan project. It's a concept album so hope I can translate it all one day. This track in particular really vibes with the story I'm trying to write, so I wanted to get to know it better.

You can listen to it here: (no subtitles)
https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=dI_...

And here's my translation:

---------------------------------------
抛擲 (Abandonment) by 高城みよ (Miyo Takashiro)

Within a lone mechanical box/a line draws into a blur

Even/today/it still/stays closed
And night…/doesn’t end

It’ll stay this way/forever unchanged
Fading into white/a vanishing wisp

Passing through/ a dream like this
Right now…/I took hold of that hand

Fluttering free/ the /velvet falls
The bouquet sways/ with the/ dancing of frills

Beyond the finger/ that traces the/ line of the seam
Just what lies ahead?

The hands adorned upon the clock
Remain so ever still

Tomor/row ends as still Today
again/without change

It’ll stay this way/forever unchanged
Falling deep into black/ bound up as it falls

Feeling the gaze that turns back to me
Again/ I just kept my lips sealed

Within this dazzling/ fantasy
I feel the dancing/ beat of my heart

The piercing shine of the knife I hold
Right now, ended it here (with my own hands)

The drapes are carried by a fluttering breeze
The ribbons flowing with/ stardust aswim

Beyond the finger/ that traces the/ line of the seam
Just what lies ahead?

----------------------------------------------
Tried my best to make it singable, please feel free to share feedback or any other thoughts on the piece.

Pretty challenging translation- this is just my own interpretation, with the album and song title helping to guide me along. watch video on watch page
