NRLM aims to alleviate rural poverty and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for the rural poor. Towards this objective, H.P. SRLM seeks to promote sustainable community based institutions which will facilitate provision of financial services, economic services and other entitlements to the rural poor. H.P. SRLM is focused on promoting self-employment and organization of rural poor. The basic idea behind this programme is to organize the poor into SHG (Self Help Groups) groups and make them capable for self-employment.
