Ooni Hosts 4th Royal African Young Leadership Forum Awards In Ile-Ife
The Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II will on Saturday July 13th, 2024 hosts the 4th edition of his Royal African Young Leadership Forum Awards at the Oduduwa Hall of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
The RAYLF is an platform by the Ooni for celebrating young trailblazing young talents across African content in various sectors of human endeavours.
With the 2024 edition themed "Africa of the Future; Better Together", the Ooni in a statement noted that he is committed to using the RAYLF initiative for the promotion of peace, unity and economic prosperity across Africa.
"It is with immense pride and optimism that I welcome you to the 4th edition of the Royal African Young Leadership Forum (RAYLF).
"Our mission is ambitious and essential: to promote peace, economic prosperity, and unity across Africa by harnessing the exceptional potential of our young populations.
"Today, the world increasingly acknowledges Africa’s importance, not just for our abundant natural resources, but for our vibrant and dynamic youth who are lighting the way towards a prosperous and unified continent.

Arole Oduduwa, Olofin Adimula, Ooni Babatunde Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi,CFR, Ojaja II has called on the Afro-Brazilians to synergise adequately with Africa for the enhancement of the Back-To-Root movement.
The African foremost monarch made this assertion through his Queen, Olori Aderonke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi during the opening ceremony of the African Fashion Week Brazil holding at Expo Center Norte, 1000 - Villa Guilherme, Sao Paulo on Thursday.
Queen Aderonke explained the aim of the event is to create more synergies in terms of culture and fashion between Africa, Afro-Brazilians and Brazil.
She said her husband, the Ooni of Ife is determined to seeing very strong synergies between African designers and Afrobrazilian designers in the bid to strengthen the economic and cultural bond of the Africans and Africans in diaspora.
The Ooni's Queen noted that the Ooni's recent visit to Brazil hosted president LULA for African Traditional Religion Day and the legislative approval for Twin City status between The City of Ife and some cities in Brazil were in in fulfillment of his dream to get the Afro-Brazilians connected to their home continent of Africa.
"The benefits of the African Fashion week holding in Brazil are huge if there's a synergy between you and designers in Africa.
"The aim of the project is to create more synergies in terms of culture and fashion between Africa, Afrobrazilians and Brazil which is already happening through the efforts of my husband.
"Creating African designers and Afrobrazilian designers in the bid to strengthen our economic and cultural bond is also a good strategy. The twin cities arrangement backed up with Brazilian legislative law that was recently passed the parliaments of Rio and Bahia states here in Brazil which my husband and other traditional emissaries and business tycoons from Africa came to celebrate and his meeting the President of Brazil last some 2 months ago was to ensure a robust relationship between you all and your home continent of Africa". The Queen said.
Also, while answering questions from journalists after the event, Queen Aderonke further stated the characteristics of African Fashion in terms of
beauty, colour, boldness, uniqueness, royalty as what to be showcased to the world. She lauded the Models that came for the event and describing them as phenomenal, amazing, wonderful and professional partners.
She gave the brief historical background of how Africa Fashion week started 14 years ago in London and later metamorphosed the one that held in Nigeria and the one that is holding presently in Brazil, saying that Africa continent is full of about 3000 tribes part of which have different fashion and cultural values inspired and influenced by the historical and traditional set up of each tribes particularly in the Oduduwa race.

Wife of the Ooni of Ife, HRM Olori Aderonke Ademiluyi-Ogunwusi on Thursday arrived in the City of Sao Paulo for the maiden edition of the Africa Fashion Week Brazil.
Olori Aderonke who doubles as the Co-founder of the Brazilian wing of the Africa Fashion Week brand and her team of cultural ambassadors and desidesigners were received in the South American country amidst jubilation.
The foremost queen is expected to address an international press conference later at the event holding at the Expo Center Norte, Sao Paulo.
Africa Fashion Week Brazil is part of the larger Africa Fashion Week brand which houses the duo of the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria and Africa Fashion Week London, both of which are also founded by the revered Queen.
The idea behind the initiative according to the Queen is to give African designers a platform to showcase their creativity to the global space while also promoting continent’s rich cultural heritage.
The event will feature designers from global fashion capitals including London, Paris, Nigeria and Ghana.

OONI TAKES NEW WIFE, OPEOLUWA AKINMUDA
The Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has revealed plans to officially welcome his latest Queen, Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda.
IFECITYBLOG gathered that Invitations for the Thanksgiving service and reception of the new queen have all been sent out.
The event scheduled to hold on Saturday 20th May 2023 will be preceded by the traditional entry of the Queen into the Palace on Thursday. The couple reportedly tied the knot on May 10th, 2023.
Akinmuda is joining Ooni's other five wives which are Olori Mariam, Olori Tobi Phillips Ogunwusi, Princess Ashley Adegoke, Princess Ronke Ademiluyi and Temitope Adesegun.
ABOUT OLORI OPEOLUWA AKINMUDA
Dr. Elizabeth Opeoluwa Ogunwusi nee Akinmuda is a successful Scotland-based IT entrepreneur with specialty in Electronic Data Processing.
