I have these cheap razor guards that always seem to break. Instead of just buying ones that work, I decided to spend hours modelling it and 3D printing my own. Lol. It’s not the prettiest thing, but it actually fits my razor and provides a sweet shave.
3D printing is an awesome tool. If you want to sharpen your design and CAD skills, $300-400 for a decent printer is a great bargain. Look for things around the house that you could use and create them. It’s something that I’ve just lately gotten into and it’s helped my design skills a lot. You learn a lot really fast!

Good morning guys! My latest video is up on my channel. I cover an engineering accident that occurred in my home town awhile back. Investigating failures is super interesting, and you often learn a lot unfortunately sometimes at the expense of others.
I'll be honest my views have been wayy down. I'm not sure if people aren't seeing my videos or I'm just not connecting with some of you. I'm trying to keep this channel engineering related because that's what you guys signed up for and it's what I love to do, but something's missing. What topics would you like me to cover?

Hey guys! Been a little while, hope y'all are doing well with your studies and your career!
I'm working on a video on structures. It's been a bit tricky but it's fun breaking stuff! Which one of these bridges do you think can hold more weight? Both have the same weight, (25g), both are a foot long, and both are loaded at their centers.

I came across a forum the other day on "imposter syndrome". I've felt this a lot; where you hold a professional title of say engineer but very often feel inadequate.
I think a lot of it is a byproduct of working around smart people. I'd always get nervous around techs, I get nervous around my seniors all the time of saying something stupid. I'm always like "is my senior just trying to pump me up or does he actually trust me to run this test?" It's funny lol. I think with increased experience comes increased responsibilities, and those new responsibilities can be intimidating and so the bar just keeps moving. When I was filling out my P. Eng. application I was surprised at how much experience I could actually put down, so I think it's all relative. Anyway it's an interesting phenomenon I've experienced and it seems like everyone else has too, and I think it's a good thing.

Awesome job removing dislikes YouTube. Can't wait to sit through a 20 minute CAD tutorial just to find out it stinks. This is all for corporate money YouTube doesn't give a shit about their audience or creators. Bravo guys.

Thinking I’ll do a Q&A for the next video. What questions do you guys have? Post em below and I’ll get to them.
Edit: polling closed, already recorded 🥴

I was browsing through Quora and found this comment from a Mech Engineer of 40+ years. Topic was engineering unemployment and this is his experience on what makes some engineers qualified and others not. Lot of value in this 👍
