Being a musician is tough, especially when you have to promote yourself just to get by. It’s more than just making music—you’re constantly online, trying to get noticed.

And if you get sick? It’s even worse. Bills pile up, and there’s no way to earn. Many artists have to quit because they just can’t afford to keep going.

But we keep pushing, leaning on fans and friends to survive. So if you love the art and the music, buy a song, share it, and support the artists you love. It really makes a difference.

Thank you! Dimi

Hi guys, I haven't be able to play guitar since the end of May.

I'm writing this here: For two months now, I've had pain on the right side of my neck that spreads to my head and temple, starting from my shoulder. My shoulder has been hurting severely for years, but the pain used to be alleviated with Aulin and similar medications. I even went for physical therapy and rehabilitation in Narechen.

Now the pain is burning and shooting, mainly on the right side of my temple.

Two months ago, I visited a neurologist. I was prescribed anticonvulsants, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and Pregabalin, which is quite a strong medication with many side effects. I went through 60 days of treatment without much improvement.

During the first weeks, I was almost 'numbed' to avoid the pain. I started mixing up words. From the anti-epileptic medication. I was lying on a couch, staring at the ceiling.

Ten days ago, my GP ordered a new X-ray and found early-stage osteoarthritis of the neck. When I told him that the pain starts with an irritation in my shoulder, he suggested steroid injections—five in total. I'm currently on the third injection of Betamethasone, combined with a non-steroidal drug.

When I play the guitar, I feel a tingling and burning sensation around my right shoulder blade, followed by a dull pain. The muscles in my neck and shoulder cramp up, and the pain spreads to my head. It’s unbearable...

In the last few days, even my right thumb feels tense, as if the tendons might snap with certain movements.

I shared all of this with my GP, but he started treating me on his own, without additional consultations with specialists or further tests.

The tests I've done—detailed blood work, markers for arthritis (RA), gout, and prostate tumors—are all normal, and we repeated them every 10 days.

Just had MRI on my spine and neck. No major problems.

Next electric testing on my hand and nerves and orthopedic doctor appointment.

Hopefully to be able to play guitar again somewhere in the future.

Truly yours
Dimi
