Here is my autumn palette swatch card with the finished acorn sketch, a quick pumpkin sketch and a few more acorns that turned out better than the one I painted on camera. Apologies for the missing footage of the second part of the sketch!

Hello Everybody, just want to let you know that there will be no video this afternoon. I've had a brutal headache all Paddy's Day weekend, and staring at a screen for editing purposes isn't helping. So I'm taking the bank holiday off, and I hope it'll be business as usual again on Wednesday.

The 100 Day Project will start on Feb 18 this year: www.the100dayproject.org/. It's a creative challenge that runs for a 100 Days (would you believe it, with a name like this?) and I've done it a few times since 2016. I've found it to be a good way to keep me creating every day and improve my skills. I would recommend taking part to anyone who likes art challenges.
I have no idea yet what mine will be this year – there are always so many options – but I know I will be doing a project. I'm not sure I'll put it all on Youtube like last year (youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB..., it depends on what project I'll choose.
I will try to keep it short and manageable. I find it's important to have some sort of plan, but not to be too regimented. The only time I didn't finish was the year when my project was "make some art every day". That was too vague, and the first time life tried to get in the way, I let it stop me. The other time I came close to not following through was when I had everything planned to the smallest details and I got bored.
