FLORIDA LTC MEDICAID INCOME CAP INCREASE: $2,829.00

As of January 1, 2024, the Florida Long Term Care Medicaid Programs' (i.e. Institutional Care Program or Home and Community Based Services / Medicaid Waiver) Income Cap has increased to: $2,829.00/month.

Your income has likely changed (e.g. social security increase, increased required minimum distributions from an IRA or 401k) so its important to make sure that you are transferring the correct amount into a Qualified Income Trust "QIT" (a/k/a Miller Trust).

If your income has increased substantially (e.g. renting out property, inheriting an annuity, etc...), some people who previously did not need a QIT may now be in need of one!

If you are concerned about a change in income or whether or not you need a QIT / Miller Trust, please feel free to schedule a consultation.

ATTENTION: All Florida Medicaid Recipients (November, 2023)

The new MyACCESS portal is coming! The new portal replaces the current ACCESS Florida portal and offers a new, easier-to-use system!

Some important things to know:

All users will be required to create a new account for the MyACCESS portal. Existing usernames/accounts will not be transferred.

Creating a new account requires an email address. If you don't have an email address, there are lots of free options available.

After the new account is created, existing users will need to link to their current case info.

Incomplete applications will not be transferred to the new MyACCESS portal so be sure to submit applications.
