The Daniel Boone Regional Library strives to be at the heart of the community, a trusted resource and partner known for excellence, creativity and open, equitable access, connecting every person to opportunities for a lifetime of discovery, learning and joy.
Established in 1959, the Daniel Boone Regional Library provides public library services to two library districts in Missouri:
Callaway County Library District (all of Callaway County) - Callaway County Public Library (Fulton) & Holts Summit Public Library
Columbia and Boone County Library District (all of Boone County outside the 1965 Centralia city limits) - Southern Boone County Public Library & Columbia Public Library
DBRL is funded primarily through property tax income. State aid, interest income, grants, bequests and donations, and copier/printer income make up the rest of the system’s revenue.
