I know this isn’t related to gaming, but it’s related to my health. If I’m not healthy, I can’t provide you gaming content.
7 years ago today I ran around my office dressed as Rocky and blasting the Rocky theme song in celebration of being selected to participate in the Road Warrior team for what was then called the Fifth Third River Bank Run.
For 6 months I trained 3-4 days a week with an amazing team and awesome coach (and met some great people I’m still friends with today) until race day when, at just under 300lbs. I ran a 25K. That’s 15.65 miles. In 3 hours and 17 mins. I’m not looking to do that again, but I am looking to use this as a spring board toward improving my weight and fitness level.
