Mrs. X, been married for two years had an open surgery outside the country for an ovarian tumor called a cystic teratoma, she arrived at Sudha Fertility Center in a panicked state. One of her ovaries had been removed, and her ovarian reserve was low. She had no hope of conception, so she was counselled by our expert team, and treatment was initiated. ICSI was done, and she miraculously conceived in her first cycle. The couple were overloaded with joy. However, at 22 weeks, her cervix opened completely, and she was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix. We did an emergency cervical stitch called encirclage. After careful monitoring, she was given medications. Her determination and the doctor's team helped her continue the pregnancy till 37 weeks, and she delivered a healthy baby weighing 3 kg. Infertility can be treated if you have an efficient medical team and a patient couple. We urge all infertile couples to stay hopeful and patient, with a scientific approach, you will succeed. Mrs. X, 28 years, married since 7 years, came to us with secondary infertility. She had history of missed abortion, ectopic pregnancy treated medically, ICSI twin conception outside expelled at 16 weeks. She is a case of insulin dependent type 1 diabetes mellitus on insulin. கூட்டு முயற்சியின் அசாத்திய வெற்றியை போற்றும் ஓர் நம்பிக்கை பதிவு ! 38 வயதான பெண்ணுக்கு இரண்டு முறை ICSI சிகிச்சை மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு தோல்வி அடைந்த பின் சுதா மருத்துவமனையின் சிறப்பறிந்து மிகுந்த நம்பிக்கையோடு கருத்தரிப்பு சிகிச்சைக்காக வந்தார். பரிசோதனைகளுக்கு பின் அவருக்கு சிறுநீரக நோய்-நெஃப்ரோடிக் நோய்க்கான அறிகுறிகள் (Nephrotic syndrome) மற்றும் கல்லீரல் நோய்-எக்ஸ்ட்ரா ஹெபாடிக் போர்டல் நரம்பு அடைப்பு (-Extra hepatic portal vein obstruction) இருப்பதும் கண்டறியப்பட்டது. இவ்விரண்டு நோய்களும் இயற்கை கருத்தரிப்பு மற்றும் தாய் சேய் ஆரோக்கியத்தை நேரடியாக பாதிக்கக்கூடியவை ஆகும் . எனவே சிறுநீரக மருத்துவர் மற்றும் இரைப்பை குடல் (Gastroenterologist) சிறப்பு மருத்துவர்கள் ஆலோசனைக்கு பின்னர் சிகிச்சை மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. ஒரு வருட தீவிர சிகிச்சைக்கு பின் அவரது சிறுநீரகம் மற்றும் கல்லீரலில் உள்ள குறைபாடுகள் சீரானது. தம்பதியினரிடம் சிகிச்சை குறித்து தெளிவாக விவரிக்கப்பட்டு ICSI சிகிச்சை மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட முதல் முயற்சியிலேயே வெற்றிகரமாக கருத்தரித்தார். மகப்பேறு, சிறுநீரகம் மற்றும் கல்லீரல் மருத்துவர்களை கொண்ட சிறப்பு மருத்துவக் குழுவின் மேற்பார்வையில் தொடர் சிகிச்சை அளிக்கப்பட்டது . அவருக்கு பொதுவாக கர்ப்பகாலத்தில் ஏற்படும் உயர் இரத்த அழுத்தம் மற்றும் குறை நீர் பனிக்குடத்தால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது தெரியவந்தது, இதனால் குழந்தையின் இரத்த ஓட்டம் பாதிக்கப்படுவது ஸ்கேன் (Doppler scan) மூலம் கண்டறியப்பட்டு குழந்தையின் நலனை கருத்தில் கொண்டு 28 வது வாரத்தில் சிசேரியன் பிரசவம் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. அவர் 1 கிலோ எடையுள்ள ஆண் குழந்தையைப் பெற்றெடுத்தார், தாய் சேய் இருவரும் நலமாக உள்ளனர். நோயின் தன்மை அறிந்து சிகிச்சை மேற்கொள்வது என்பது முக்கியமாகும். மிகச்சவலான இச்சிசிகிச்சையில் மகப்பேறு , கல்லீரல் , இரைப்பை குடலுக்கான சிறப்பு மருத்துவர்கள் என அனைத்து பலதுறை மருத்துவர்களின் சிறப்பு சிகிச்சையால் மட்டுமே சாத்தியமானது மற்றும் மிகுந்த நம்பிக்கையுடன் சிகிச்சை மேற்கொண்ட தம்பதியர் இப்போது பெற்றோர் என்பது ஈடில்லா மகிழ்ச்சியளிக்கிறது. தாய்மை அனைத்து பெண்களின் உரிமை ஆகும், 38 வருடங்களாக இதைப்போல சவாலான பல ஆயிரம் சிகிச்சைகள் வெற்றிகரமாக சுதா மருத்துவமனையில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது, தொடர்ந்து பெண்களுக்கான இச்சேவையில் ஈடுபடுவது என்பது எங்களுக்கு மிகவும் மனநிறைவான ஒரு விஷயமாகும். தாய்மை ஒரு வரம்... 🌿

What is MACS?
MACS, or Magnetic Activated Cell Sorting, is a method that detects and classifies apoptotic sperm. The apoptotic sperm is more likely to have DNA fragmentation, and as a result, the embryo may not be ideally developed.
