Joan the Wad is a mythical torch-bearing, moor-dwelling Piskey Queen and the moniker of singer, songwriter and producer Sarah Grundy from Rossendale, near Manchester, UK.
Joan the Wad creates intricate electronic alt-pop songs, infused with synths, loops and beats. Rich, mellifluous vocals and harmonies flavour the darker edges of these melodic but melancholy, bittersweet sings about love and hope.
